The Our Place and Inclusion Support team helps to enable children and young people with additional needs to be fully included within their groups. Additional needs may include any physical, sensory, learning, social, communication, trauma/attachment related, or mental health needs.
Please complete the additional needs request form at the time of booking if you would like to let us know about any needs that we may need to be aware of, or if you would like to request additional support for your child.
We cannot guarantee 1:1 support for your child, but we will do our best to support them as appropriately as we are able, depending on the capacity of our volunteer teams.
Inclusion teams
In each children's and Luminosity (youth) venue there is an inclusion team available to support children and young people who have additional needs to be included within their group in the most appropriate way for them. We liaise closely with parents and carers to ensure each child's needs are met to the best of our ability. Depending on the availability of our volunteer team, we may be able to provide 1:1 support, 1:2 support, small group support or extra training for small group leaders. Each venue is equipped with resources to support inclusion of every individual and there is a dedicated space within each venue to which children may withdraw if they need a movement break or are becoming overwhelmed.
Our Place Kids Venue and Our Place Youth (Luminosity) Venue
In addition to inclusion support in the main children and youth venues, we have two specialist venues which are open for part of each morning and evening. These venues run programmes of worship, teaching and ministry especially for individuals with additional needs who may struggle to remain in their peer age groups for the entire session. To ensure that these venues remain fairly calm and secure, numbers for each session are restricted. Places will be prioritised by need.
