3. I am applying for a DBS required team and I'll be 16 at New Wine Festival but I haven't yet turned 16, how can I apply for a DBS check?
All DBS required team applicants who will be 16 years of age or above at New Wine Festival need to complete a DBS check. This is different from previous years where the minimum age for DBS checks was 17. We appreciate that it is only possible for those who are currently 16 to complete a DBS check.
If you are applying for a team that requires a DBS but you are currently 15 (turning 16 in the months leading up the Festival), please continue to apply for team but start the DBS process once you turn 16. We will still process your team application and you can still be accepted onto team under the provision that your DBS check is clear. If your DBS check does not come back clear, this will be escalated to the Team Leader.

7. I already have a DBS certificate…
The Update Service is the only way which you can transfer certificates between different
organisations. Certificates need to be renewed on a yearly basis.
You can use a DBS that is on the Update Service (US) as long as it is the correct workforce and/or barred list.
Please email a photo/scan of the full original DBS document to dbs@new-wine.org so that we can verify it as well as your permission for us to view it on the US. Please note that we cannot accept a screenshot of your US subscription, we need to see the original certificate.

If you are registered to a UK address then you can submit a DBS check. If you are not a UK citizen then we are able to use the DBS equivalent for your country if it recognised on the Government website here. Please contact dbs@new-wine.org if you have any queries.
